NCEC Officers

  • Sarah Ralph-Founder and Vice President
    • I’m a mother of two boys and a girl (ages 5, 3 and 1).  I moved to Naperville while attending law school at Northwestern, having moved here from upstate New York.
    • I am a Sierra Club member, and deeply, deeply concerned about the world my boys are going to make their lives in -  I worry about the potential for tremendous instability throughout the world as water resources decline, weather patterns shift, and traditional agricultural practices are no longer viable.
    • I studied history as an undergrad, and work in corporate tax for Skadden.
  • Stephanie Hastings - President
    • I’m a full-time mother of two boys (age 5 and 3) and a Naperville resident who actually grew up in Naperville (GO NNHS!).
    • I am a Sierra Club member and someone who cares about the environment, and is specifically concerned about global warming.
    • My formal education was in Economics (BS), Marketing and Finance (MBA).   I worked for about 7 years in a Marketing role (mostly marketing credit cards and financial products via direct mail and telemarketing).

    • I am a Naperville resident and Sierra Club member.
    • I am a ten year retiree from Dun & Bradstreet. Thirty three year career primarily in sales and marketing management.
  • Jean McCollum
    • I’m a Registered Dietitian, retired, who has lived in Naperville since 1974.
    • I’ve been a member of Zero Population Growth (now the Population Connection) since before that, and my interest in protecting the environment grew from that concern.
    • During my professional years I was a Consultant Dietitian for several nursing homes.
  • John McCollum
    • Following my PhD in physical organic chemistry, I was employed as a research chemist by Amoco Oil Company, first in Whiting, Indiana and latterly here in Naperville.  I worked in areas of oil refining processes, and in advanced methods for recovery of oil from oil sand and oil shale. Thus, I was well aware and concerned of the impact fossil fuels, both in their production and subsequent use as energy sources have on our environment.
    • My interest in NCEC represents my continued concern for our human impact on the environment.
  • Sean Hastings
    • I am a dad of two boys (ages 4 and 2) and a Naperville resident.
