About NCEC
NCEC is a small local, grassroots organization of Naperville residents that united in May 2007 to encourage the city to take action against global warming and climate change. Our group communicates with the city council and city staff to encourage government action to reduce Naperville’s contribution to climate change, engages in community events and outreach to share information about climate change, and meets regularly to discuss new ways to reach out to the community.
NCEC MISSION
To educate Naperville residents about the connections between our personal actions and climate change, and to encourage individual and civic actions to address this issue.
NCEC VISION
For all Naperville residents to work together to reduce our community’s footprint on the earth, specifically: 1. Increase Naperville’s use of renewable energy; 2. Decrease Naperville’s use of non-renewable electriciy sources, traditional vehicle fuels, and natural gas.
