Zulay Zayas, ARNP is an advanced registered nurse practitioner with many years of experience in the cardiac and endovascular field of study, who currently works in Naples, FL. at the Naples Cardiac & Endovascular Center.

 

Academic background

Zulay Zayas, ARNP began her college education and further studies in 1995 when she attended Robert Morgan Vocational Institute. At that time in the Clinical Site of Mercy Hospital in Miami Florida. Three years later in 1998, she obtained her Associates in Science, as a registered nurse at Miami Dade College. The, she transferred Clinical Sites to Jackson Memorial Hospital. From 2000-2005 she was a student at Florida International University. Received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing as well as her Masters of Science in Nursing, MSN, ARNP. During these years she was DR. Kathi H. Andersons research assistant. Working in Deborah Coningsby, ARNP-C, and Miami Cardiac and Vascular institutes clinical sites.

Professional experience

After years of education, Zulay Zayas moved on to the work experience. She began in the Baptist Health System in September of 1996 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Three years after, in January 1999 she remained working in the same company but with different duties. As a Registered Nurse, she cared for telemetry and cardiovascular step-down unit patients. In addition, she also became a preceptor and mentor for students and new graduate nurses on telemetry units. She was also a Charge Nurse for a 51-bed unit.

After five years of working at Baptist Health System, Zulay’s new journey began in Miami Vein Center in November 2004. In this company, she was responsible for new patient medical histories and physicals, as well as responsible for patients pre-op and post-op follow-ups. She treated patients who needed sclerotherapy and transcutaneous laser treatments for spider veins and laser hair removal.

Four years after the experience at the Miami Vein Center, Zulay began to work at the Naples Cardiac& Endovascular Center as an advanced registered nurse practitioner. She is responsible for venous pre-op evaluations and post-op follow-ups, and continues to treat patients who need sclerotherapy and transcutaneous laser treatments for spider veins.
