Naperville City Council Approves Contract for Community-Wide GHG Emissions Inventory

On June 17th, the City Council approved a contract for a community-wide greenhouse gas emissions inventory. The inventory will calculate our community’s contribution to climate change, and provide concrete suggestions for measures we can take to reduce this amount. We thank Council members Fieseler, Furstenau, Krause, Pradel, Rosanova, Senger and Wehrli for supporting the community-wide inventory over the more limited municipal-only inventory also considered. Naperville now joins an elite group of communities nationwide taking clear action to counter climate change. Thank you to all local residents, businesses and organizations that voiced support for the inventory!
